Bio

From War Zones to Weddings, Macro to Aerial, Conventional to Digital Photography, Alan Amesbury ABIPP has had over 30 years experience in the taking and production of the photographic image.
Alan qualified as a professional photographer in 1978 while serving in the Armed Forces, and acquired a wide range of technical skills and knowledge during his 23 year Royal Naval service career. In 1991 he was awarded associate membership of the British Institute of Professional Photography. On leaving the Royal Navy in 1995 Alan had achieved the rank of Chief Photographer after which he worked for a number of years as a photographer at the Imperial War Museum in London.
Photography for Alan has always been a passion as well as a career, and having the technical ability to process and print his own work has always been to him an added joy. However, with the changes in the industry towards digital imagery, Alan has continued to keep abreast of modern technology and educational standards and has recently embarked on an HND in Digital Photography at East Surrey College and a BA(Hons) Photography through Kent University.
